Christ himself is our peace.
He has destroyed the walls of the hatred between us.
He has united our differences into one body.
Through his body on the cross, He made peace among us.(1)

All of us desire true peace between you and me,
Between nation and nations,
Between I and myself.
All of us are thirsty for true peace anywhere and anytime.

For we do not know that true peace comes from heaven,
The more we long for true peace,
The more we are thirsty for peace in this world.
We do not know the way of peace though we say peace.(2)

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.
I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled,
And do not let them be afraid.”(3)

To save you from the false peace of this world,
He came to bring you the peace from heaven.
“May glory be given to God in the highest heaven!
And may peace be given to those he is pleased with on earth!”(4)

We still thirst for true peace on our journey
For our way is different from His way in heaven,(5)
For heavenly peace is different from our peace in this world.
We are still blind to true peace.(6)
