“Lord, behold, Lazarus whom you love is sick.”
He said to those who Mary and Martha sent from Bethany,
“This sickness is not unto death but for the glory of God.”

“Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep.
Let us go; I will awake him out of sleep.”
“Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover.”

They could not understand his intention;
Do we need to go there to awake a person who is sleeping?
“The Jews are seeking to stone You; are You going there?”

He could not speak death of the one whom he loved as death.
His disciples were still far from the deep pain of his heart.
“Lazarus is dead, so I must be there though they may stone me.”

“Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.”
Mary, Martha and their neighbors began weeping, and
Jesus wept in painful love.

“Lazarus, come forth.”
“Unbind him and let him go.”
The miracle followed the tears of painful love.
