“Lord, where are you going now?
I am willing to go with you anywhere.”
My heart was sincerely running for Him;
my mind was full of His language.

“But where I am going, you cannot follow me now;
you shall follow me afterward.”
My heart was burning; I knew that
the time had not come for my flamed heart yet.

“Lord, why can I not follow you now?
I am ready to lay down my life for you now.”
Though I knew that it is not easy to follow Him,
how else could I show my earnest self to Him?

“Can you really give up your life for me?
You will say that you don’t know me by early morning!”
Oh, poor and pitiful Peter!
I am still following Him though His whip is severe.

I clearly remember the day that I heard
“Get behind me, Satan!” (1)
You may ask why I still follow Him.
I am still following Him because I know

I am still blind in spirit even though my heart is burning.
